Going to school, parties and boogies.

Busy, Busy, that is what it has been around here. Last weekend we went to two birthday parties. One for Jade's friend Millie and another for my nephew who turned 16 (this is still shocking to me since I have known him since he was 6 months old). On Saturday Jade was ready for bed after going to basketball (John coaches first and second graders at a basketball program at our church), Millie's party and watching some friends perform at our coffee house at church.

Jade starts preschool in a couple weeks so we went to visit her class yesterday. She hasn't stopped talking about Mrs. B since. She is so excited about being "a big girl" and going to school. Me not so much. Everyday for two hours is going to be hard, for me that is, lol. Jade didn't even say bye to me she just ran right in with all the kids. Mrs. B said "I think she will do just fine." Jade hung out there with the kids and I went home and feed Liam and came back an hour later. She didn't even want to leave so I think this will be good for her and hopefully I will get use to it. It will be nice to have some one-on-one with Li for a few hours a day (especially since Jade doesn't really nap) So we got the backpack (hell* Kitty) and now we just need some tennis shoes since her Cr*cs aren't safe on the playground.
Liam has been sick. He got his first cold last weekend His poor little nose has just been running like crazy. The nice thing is that he has been so snugly. He is very busy and not much of a cuddlier so I have enjoyed the hugs. He is feeling better now so it is back to busy busy.

Birthday girl!

Liam wanted to play ripe the tail off the donkey.

Rare snuggling moment. Loved it! I think the sweater I had on helped.

Heat Wave!

I know I talk about the weather a lot but it is so varied here from one extreme to the other. It was 60 yesterday (which is rare for early Feb.) so I had to take the kids outside. We went to the duck park. It is a small hike to the pond and about 5 minutes into our walk I knew it was too wet and muddy. We ended up at a playground near us and Jade was so excited to be out of the house playing outside. We only got to stay for about a half an hour then it started to rain but after being couped up for months it was worth it. Now it is back to 30 and sleet, boo. I didn't get a picture but Jade got to hold Liam down the (small) slide (while I held on too). He loved it. I am sure he will be all over that playground soon.
